Quadgrow – Grow Diary 6th September 2024

We have had great success with both our Aubergines and Tomatoes this year in our polytunnel.

Aubergines in a Quadgrow

All our Aubergines have been grown from seed, and grown on in the Quadgrow planter.

As you can see from the image here, they are a gorgeous deep purple, good size and really healthy.

Our heaviest of the year, picked just this week, was just over half a Kilo.

We still have loads more on the plants, and will no doubt be freezing some of these delicious fruits too last us into the winter.

Cherry Tomatoes in a Quadgrow

Now to the Tomatoes! These are looking fantastic in the sunshine today.

The Quadgrow keeps these perfectly watered, leading to less fruit splitting and the juiciest fruits.

There’s nothing better than sneaking a few from the vine when working in the polytunnel. These are bursting with flavour in the late summer sun. Fingers crossed the boss doesn’t catch us eating her prized produce….Shhh!

I am sure we will be harvesting these for a few more weeks still, as we have lots still to ripen.
